VDB Actions
All of our Actions and Script come packaged with an installation script, which will install and configure the actions and scripts for you.

To install, follow these steps:

  1. start Photoshop.
  2. Choose File | Scripts
  3. From the scripts menu, choose Browse
  4. Locate the folder where you unzipped your VDB Action Pack, and run the Install.jsx script.

Your new VDB Action Pack will be pre-configured, and loaded into your Actions palette.

And that's it. Done.

Even better, if you need to reinstall an Action Pack, the installer script will automatically delete the existing Action Set so that you don't have to do this yourself, or have extra copies of the Action Set messing up your palette.

Where we store the files

Whenever possible, we do not store any files into the actual Photoshop program or presets folders. All of our scripts are run by using an Action, and so they don't need to be installed in the ../Presets/Scripts folder. Instead we use the designated application data folders.

Under Windows Vista:
systemdrive:\ProgramData\Vandenberg ImageWorks\

Under older Windows versions:
systemdrive:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Vandenberg ImageWorks
or
systemdrive:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINNT\Application Data\Vandenberg ImageWorks

Under Mac OSX:
~/Library/Application Support/Vandenberg ImageWorks
